Major Appliance Delivery Guide

From the moment you pick out your new appliance online or in store, to the day your new appliance is delivered to your home, we want your appliance purchase with us to be smooth, simple, and free of surprises.

This guide will explain the delivery process at Visions Electronics, and help you prepare for getting your new appliances into your home as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Your Delivery – What You Can Expect

Please contact the Visions Electronics Location you purchased your appliances from if you have any inquiries about your delivery. If you purchased online, please Submit A Customer Service Request and the next available customer service associate will assist you.

The delivery team will contact you to book a delivery appointment as soon as your order is ready for delivery. Deliveries can be scheduled Monday through Saturday, except for statutory holidays.

You will be contacted 24 hours before your requested delivery day and the delivery team will provide you with a three hour delivery window. You will also be contacted when the delivery team is on the way to your home.

The delivery team will arrive at your home, unbox your new appliance, and bring it into your home. The delivery team will inspect all appliances for any visible damage. Once inside your home, the delivery team will position, level, and connect your new appliance in the desired location.

Please note: you must provide new water hoses for washers and new vents/clamps for dryers.

Additionally, the delivery team will dispose of all appliance packaging.

For an additional fee, Visions can also provide additional services, such as haulaway/recycling of your old appliances, door reversals, water-line installation, and laundry stacking. Please ask your Visions sales associate for more information.

If you purchased the haulaway/recycling service, the delivery team will remove your old appliances from your home.

Please note: you must disconnect your old appliances prior to the arrival of the delivery team to be eligible for the recycling service.

How To Ensure Your Delivery Goes Smoothly

  • Important! Please carefully measure the installation location for your new appliance to ensure your new appliances will fit in that space.
  • Measure hallways and stairways in the delivery path to ensure that they are wide enough to accommodate your new appliances.
  • Ensure the delivery path is clear of obstacles.
  • Empty your old appliances and have them disconnected prior to delivery.
  • Make sure you have purchased a new connection kit for each new appliance.
  • Ensure your building’s elevator is booked (if applicable).
  • An adult must be present to sign for the appliances (18 years or older).

The delivery team does not carry these items with them, and they cannot use existing connection parts for new appliance installations.

  • Washing Machine, you will need to purchase one (1) hose kit. View Kit
  • Dryer, you will need to purchase two different kits.
    • Vent duct quantity of one (1). View Kit
    • Vent clamps quantity of two (2). View Kit

 

Other Important Information

  • Incorrect appliances should be rejected and sent back with the delivery team.
  • Damaged appliances:
    • Lightly damaged appliances (minor dents or blemishes) can be corrected by contacting the manufacturer for a complimentary warranty replacement of the damaged part.
    • Majorly damaged appliances should be rejected and sent back with the delivery team.
  • Missed delivery appointments (no one home) must be re-booked by contacting customer service. Additional charges may apply.

 

Limitations Of Installation

Our delivery team is not qualified to install the following:

  • Dishwashers
  • Gas appliances
  • Wall ovens, cooktops and range hoods
  • Over the range microwaves

Please consult a professional installer for the installation of the above-listed appliances.

 

Refund Policy For Appliances

Please Note: Once a Major Appliance has been delivered to your home, this item is no longer eligible for return or exchange.

If you have special ordered a major appliance, once a special order has been processed, your items have been procured from the manufacturer, and the order will be considered FINAL SALE and cannot be returned. Please ensure that you have measured carefully and selected the correct model and colour before purchasing any Major Appliance.

If the item has sustained damage caused prior to/during delivery, refunds and exchanges will be permitted.
