Atmosphere Speakers are equipped with s top mounted, angled Atmosphere driver for enhanced soundstaging and surround effects technology, superior drivers for stunning performance, and magnetic grills for a more elegant baffle and easier demonstrations.

The Atmosphere Driver

A 4" Dynamic Hybrid full range driver is angle mounted so sound is directed forward and upwards towards the listening area. It is isolated in a sealed enclosure that eliminates negative interaction with the main forward firing drivers.

The carefully engineered slant and wide frequency range create an enormous soundstage in the Atmosphere mode and pinpoint location effects as an independent surround speaker.

The Atmosphere Effect:

The gigantic Atmosphere Effect produces a Soundstage that will thoroughly energize any room. Front drivers react in tandem with the top mounted Atmosphere driver to create an enveloping Atmosphere of exciting sound.

Two in One:

The Atmosphere driver can also function completely independently as a surround speaker while the front speakers operate as main channels. That’s 2 speakers in one.

Classic Dispersion:

For stereo purist who prefer exclusively forward radiating speakers, the top driver can be easily deactivated. To engage the effect, leave the jumpers attaching the two sets of binding posts in place and connect to either pair.

Armored Fiberglass Woofer

Woven Fiberglass woofer cones are incredibly light and remarkably strong so it accelerates and breaks instantly while maintaining its shape. That means musical, yet forceful bass. The fiberglass cone is then armored with a silk-based mass damping backer and micro resin application to eliminate resonances, ensuring bass is distortion free.

It is supported with a long throw butyl rubber surround for the piston-like movement and excursion required for prodigious bass output.

Armored Fiberglass Midranges

Woven Fiberglass midrange cones are the same design as the woofers but with a lighter backer and more micro resin, making it lighter than the woofer. The pointed dust cap that improves the time alignment (phase) between the edge and interior of the cone. The result is more natural vocals and a smoother blend between high and low frequencies.

1" Precision Soft Dome

A neodymium magnet in a chambered enclosure provides power and control to move the dome back and forth 56000 times a second. Ferrofluid acts like synthetic oil in high performance engine, keeping it cool and functioning efficiently. The soft dome is infused with graphite so it can maintain its shape through the strenuous movement.

It possesses an unbelievably low 750Hz resonance frequency and uniform response, so it produces crystal clear and silky-smooth highs.

Additional Highlights:

• Multi-level circumferential bracing makes the cabinet incredibly strong and rigid to maintain peak performance for years.
• Magnetic grills are easy to remove yet attach solidly whereas plastic pin mounted grills break easily and disturb the clean flow of the gloss baffle.
• Low profile feet acoustically isolate the cabinet for better midrange performance and provide stability on carpets.
• The base is also much for solid than the previous models' plastic foot.
