How to Obtain a Refund or Exchange

For Items Purchased at a Visions Electronics Retail Store
If you would like to make a refund or exchange of a product purchased at one of our retail stores, simply bring the item into any of our retail stores and ask an associate for assistance. We will verify that the product being returned meets the criteria listed below and will be happy to process your refund or exchange.

For Items Purchased on the Visions Electronics Online Store
If you would like to make a refund or exchange of a product purchased from our online store, you can either bring the item into any of our retail stores and ask an associate for assistance, or you can contact us for return instructions to ship the product back to us, and have us process your exchange or refund remotely. Please note that in the event that the product is being returned due to a defect in the product, or in the event that we have made an error of some sort in processing your order, Visions will be happy to pay the costs of the shipping back to us and reshipping a replacement item to you if applicable. Understandably, in the event that there is nothing wrong with the product and we have fulfilled the order correctly and a return is requested, then the customer would bear the costs of the return shipping charges.

To obtain return instructions, please either e-mail help@visions.ca or phone 1-866-530-3363, and provide your order number (which was e-mailed to you with confirmation of your order) along with a list of the items which you would like to exchange or return. We will contact you shortly with the necessary information and shipping instructions to return your item. Packages returned without authorization will be refused.

The Details

Visions Electronics will be pleased to offer a full refund within 15 (fifteen) days from the purchase date. Or offer exchange of product within 30 (thirty) days from the purchase date.

A restocking fee may apply, or an exchange/refund may be refused if not all packaging, including accessories and documentation are with the product in "like new” condition.

Exceptions:
(1) Cellular phones cannot be returned after 15 minutes usage;
(2) Any product that requires an activation or contract can not be returned or exchanged unless otherwise stated;
(3) Satellite systems, Cable boxes and Satellite Radio cannot be returned once they have been activated;
(4) Camcorders, Cameras, Drones, Radar Detectors, GPS systems, Air Conditioners, Media Streaming Boxes, Laptops/Home Office Products and Tablets are not refundable once opened, but of course can be exchanged under our normal exchange guidelines if there is a problem with the product;
(5) In-ear headphones qualify for a defective exchange but cannot be returned once opened;
(6) As stipulated by the Apple Service Agreement, any opened iPods/iPhone or other Apple products (example Beats Electronics) must be serviced directly through Apple. Any opened Apple products cannot be returned or exchanged through Visions Electronics;
(7) Open-package consumable products (examples include toner, ink, drum cartridges, batteries, paper fax, paper, bulbs etc.) are not refundable and final sale;
(8) All delivery, installation, labor charges, customer accessories, special orders, professional set-up fees, and third party fees are not refundable;
(9) Any Car Install or Home Install labor that is purchased and not used, is only valid as a credit for 1 (one) year from the date of purchase. Booking for Car Install/Home Install must be cancelled with 24 hours’ notice prior to the install date in order to qualify for a refund.
(10) Due to copyright laws, any opened software product such as movies (DVDs or Blu-ray Disc), games or computer software may only be exchanged for the same item.
(11) Retail store purchases made in cash will be refunded in the form of either a cheque, in store credit, or can be applied to a debit/credit card.

In order for us to process any refund, exchange or price protection request, we will require your original Visions Electronics receipt.

Please note that unless you have purchased a refurbished product (which will be clearly specified at the time of your purchase and on your invoice), Visions Electronics only ships brand new, factory sealed products from our online store. This is done to eliminate any possibility of miscommunication when a product is being returned for refund or exchange. For items returned to either a retail store or mailed in, we will verify that the product meets the criteria listed above with regard to original condition and packaging. Once we have verified this, we will be happy to process your refund or exchange (shipping or delivery charges are non-refundable). You can expect your refund to be processed within 5 to 7 days of us receiving the product.
